Ubuntu 12.04 (precise), latex and emerald package

After some fumbling, I finally managed to get the package to work.

Basically after downloading from ctan, unzipping and moving things as per the README, the relevant things are:
1. cd /etc/texmf/updmap.d
2. sudo vi 00updmap.cfg
3. add a line at the bottom: Map emerald.map     then save and exit
4. run  sudo update-updmap
5. run sudo updmap-sys
